Mmmmmm Vodka Infusion

The First Annual Vodka Infusion Party was this Saturday. It was really lovely.

As much as I am against these, we sent out invites using Evite. Something I will not be doing again any time soon. The directive on the invite was that each person was to bring a vodka they infused themselves. There would be six awards handed out (Best Vodka, Most Interesting Infused Ingredient, Hottest Vodka Infusion, Sweetest Vodka Infusion, Best Label and Best Name).

We made some of the usual fare for food (taco dips, 'lil smokies, etc.) but we added the oh so lovely vodka infused Gummie Bears

For directions on how to make Infused Gummie check out this site.

The night of the event everyone really did go all out for their infusions and really quite enjoyed themselves.

Pictures of thw winners to come VERY SOON!

Of course there were goodie bags. Phillips Vodka VERY graciously donated many items for the goodie bag.

We also included a "Hangover Cure", an idea we got from Merriment Design (and really the whole party concept was based on the linked post).

What am I working on you ask? The ever so fun vodka infusion party. Whooo hoo.

We have all the pieces for the fabulous awards...

Well this isn't ALL the pieces.

And I have the makings for my own infusion...to be infused tonight.

Plus we're in communications with Philips vodka for some goodies for the goodie bag in addition to an ultra-fab HPM concoction.

My girl wants to party all the time...

It's adult theme party Wednesday (being posted on Friday!). I have been working like mad on the the other two businesses Apothecary and Emily Rose @ Home...so my apologies for being, once again, several days behind!

First up is a Twilight party from The Bloom Girls. With the upcoming part 2 in the series...I figure there will be loads of parties for both teens and adults...

The invite!

The glassware was purchased from Pier One.

The table setting for the dinner party. Please note the apple on each place setting.

The cake. And when you cut into it -- it's blood red. OOOOHHHHHHH.....

The second party is from Party Wishes and it's a fantasticly done Breakfast at Tiffanys party. This party theme can accomodate birthdays, bridal or baby showers AND just hey - let's have a party parties.

I just love how the flowers are Tiffany blue.

The dessert table with a close up on the candy decor. OMG. The color is spot on!

A special cocktail was conconted for the party...and look blue sugar. So perfect!

And really...what would a Breakfast at Tiffanys party if you didnt have favor boxes made to look like a Tiffanys box????

Wednesday is about you. The adult in your family.

I have been working on finding ideas (not just parties) that are appropriate for adults. No kids. I have been trying to find different sorts of adult-oriented events (i.e. dinner parties, tastings, etc.) Please let me know if you have some adult party themes you would like to see....

First up on Adult parties is a Cuban Dinner Party. This party is from Recipe Girl. The background on this is that she has a neighborhood gourmet dinner group, which in itself is a fab idea.

As Recipe Girl notes...having these dinner parties is a fine reason to buy new tableware.

Traditional Cuban food served at her party. All recipes are avaialble at Recipe Girl's web site.

And I would be remiss if I dont remind you to serve mojios at your Cuban dinner party.

The second party is from The Pink Shoe Cookbook. She threw a beer tasting party. This is something that strikes me as reallllllly easy to put together. All of the invitees were instructed to bring their favorite fall beer. A blind taste taste (13 rounds!) then ensued.

She put together a tasting kit that contained notepaper, a pen and a tasting glass.

Perfect foods for a beer tasting

And great fall beer selections. The winner suprised me...but you will have to link through to her site to see what won!

And my favorite party theme of the week goes to Sugarshop with the white trash theme. She provides the party in 10 easy steps!

This theme is always helped out by having an actual trailer available.

Well this is a simply a must for this theme.

No. There is a not a tutorial on how to make the garbage can. But perhaps that is an Etsy business in the making.

The menu you ask? Well, Easy Cheese, Spam and Twinkies of course.

Wednesday Adult Parties without the kids!

I have two great adult parties and then myriad margarita suggestions for you. Whoo hoo!

The first party is a Happy Hour from Second City Soiree

She has provided the invite for anyone to save for themselves and edit their own Mon Dieu It's Monday cocktail party.

The food included Brie Tartlettes --- yummmmmy and the siganture drink was a French 77 (instructions on how to make the drink also shown on the Second City Soiree site.

Oh. My.Goodness. Will you please take a look at these hand stamped napkins. These are great!

The second party is a really tasteful dinner party for a 40th birthday from Celebrations at Home.

Please look at well coordinated this whole party is. Really any event is an excuse to sit down and have a nice looking event.

You want to know what is in those packages on the plate. Chocolate dipped oreos...super yum!

And now onto my adult party suggestions. Want to have another excellent tasting party (after last weeks Vodka infusion party)? Try a margarita tasting party. There are so many delightful recipies with different flavors. Here are a few of my favorites, along with the links from where I found them

Watermelon Margaritas from Brownies for Dinner

Red, White and Blue Margarita from Blender King

Beer Margaritas (such a sconnie drink!) from Kansas Prairie

Prickly Pear Margaritas from Wedding Bee Pro

And top off your fancy margaritas with some equally fun and fancy decorations. I spotted these on Entertain Exchange The full directions can be located at Craft Stylish
