Invite Spotlight - Cocktails

ooooh boy. As an advertising professional AND a dedicated follower of the employees of Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce I sure am happy I came across these.

Mad men returns to our airwaves next weekend, so it's a touch late to order these invites from Ruff House Art for a premiere party, but there is always an end of season party...or really a cocktail party would work as well.

For a girl party look at CDesignIllustration's Peggy Inspired Invite

And ahhhh. I am worried this invite from Paisley Print Etc is a touch tooooooo close to the trademarked graphic. But I love the mix of the background with the silhouette.

Invites. These are the handbag of your party. A good, well crafted invite shows you really care about your party and want to show a good first impression.

First up - a marshmallow themed invite from Do It Yourself Invitations

This is such a great an easy idea for so many different party themes.

The following invite is from Night Owl Paper Goods

I had such a hard time picking only one of their invites out to show on here. Go their site right now and look at all of their gorgeous work.

The final invite...is from Hello Lucky.

Again...there are so many awesome letterpress initiation choices on their site, I really recommend taking the time to look at all of the pretty on their site. And then paying them to create an awesome letterpress invite for you.

Jumping straight in here...

These Mexico inspired cards from Earmark Gatherings are gorgeous. Like everything Earmark Gatherings creates.

Princess card and mathching thank you cards from Simply Sarah. This goes along with the purse and men's short in my amusement of making clothing items out of paper and turning them into invites. Yes. I am easily amused.

Lollychops has provided a really great DIY invite

But the fantasticness of Lollychops...is that there a printable PDFs...ooooh lovely.

Friday Invites

Today's invites include two small businesses and one DIY. Enjoy!

The lovely invite is from Paper Culture. I love the idea of a margarita birthday party theme!

This wedding invite from Elum Designs is right up my aesthetic alley...just perfection!

My goal has not been to link to magazine articles if I can help it, however I must make an excpetion with this DIY Lemonhead invite from Cookie Magazine. The site shows a complete tutorial on how to make the delisious invite.

...and in case you were worried about where the party craft try-outs went. They are on hiatus for a week. Speeing ticket on Monday - taking a week spending reprieve. ha!

Anyway...onto the exciting world of invites. Much like yesterday, two Etsy options and a DIY option.

This is such a great print, from Two Guitars, for a dinner party...heck this is a great print to hang up in your kitchen.

And in the same vain...another dinner party invite, this one from Greencard. I really like how this looks like a waitstaff order pad.

This was the DIY winner on a contest held by 100 Layer Cake. Granted the winner is a calligrapher by trade, but this is such a brilliant idea and one that anyone could apply to most any party...

Friday Invite Recommendations

Some really lovely Etsy invites here...And as always support these small business entrepreneurs from Etsy.

These invites are from Dazzling Expressions. I really like the leopard - but more so I like the size of the invite, it strikes me as the sort of invite someone is going to keep long after the event is over to use a bookmark.

These Popsicle invites from Hairchick could be used for loads of different parties - summer pool party, birthday party or a family reunion.

Oh goodness. Look at this personalized monster invite from Peach Print (although I do find myself wanting to type Peach Pit :) ). That monster is so friendly! Who wouldn't come to this party?

A have a thing for monkeys (ya think). So naturally I adored this Little Monkey shower invite from Sweet Bella.

It's Etsy-palooza again with the invites...support these small businesses!

Being a child of the 80's, I adore these 45 invites from Beyond Design. V. new wave!

Oh I do love these punk baby shower invites from Kreative Kelors. And I wish when I had my daughter 8 years ago these would have been available!

These dinosaur invites are from Invitation Creation. Doesn't every boy go through a dino stage?

The only non-Etsy entry for the day. I loved these invites from Whimsy Love for the creative use of the Polaroid program. The invites were printed out at Wal Mart.

Friday Invites

Posting a little bit out of order today, Thursday's Gift Bags will be up shortly.

I am really on an Etsy kick for showing invites. All of these invites are super awesome - and I love the idea of supporting small artists over Hallmark.

Surprise Party Invite

I read about these this morning on Twig and Thistle. The designer of these great surprise party invites is Megan Carty.

The second invite is for for a baby shower

Is that not the most precious invite ever? You can order these from Giftz and Greetings.

Invite number three is for a child's pirate party.

This invite is from Robin Reed Design and lookie....it can be personalized!

Number four is not an invite. It is a Save the Date. So it's like a pre-invite.

The save the date card was designed by Denise Amelie Paperie. I love the style of this card. And how simple an idea it is. Although I tend to like my calendars with monkeys wearing business clothing.

Friday Invites

Well I got last nights post in right before the storm rolled through. Today's storm appears earlier on the horizon. So right to 'em

Fridays are about invites. I love invites. I love concepting invites. I love books about invites. It's the first impression of your party - so the dress your party has on ought to be a pretty one.

I have three Etsy recommendations.

Vegas Bachelorette Party

Vegas is such a great spot for Bachelorette parties and Beyond Design has created a very pleasing invite. I love the old Vegas look and the personalization and the intricacies that are included with this invite.

Fortune Cookie Invites

These invites by Cherry Blossom Ink could be used for just about any party: cocktail, birthday, baby or wedding shower, heck - I would even consider for a wedding invite. They would also make for great goody bag thank yous.

Passport Invite

I so wish Ear Mark Gatherings would have been around when I put together an Around the World Wedding Shower a few years back. These invites are beautiful! Great for wedding showers, sending friends away, or I would use for a precious educational party for girls - A Miss Universe Party!
