Shower Tuesday

Well look at this fantastic idea. And REEEEEEEALLLLY retro.... A Cross Stitch Shower theme. This idea is provided from the rather fabulous Wedding Style Guide

And you know what? They provide some free templates. Templates like an invite, a monogram letter, a drawstring bag pattern and cross-stitch booklet. This party could be done for so much more than showers. LOVE IT.

The second party is from Bridesmaid Tales. This is a great DIY at home party.

Each guest was instructed to bring their favorite dessert recipe. Cardstock, scrapbook paper, stickers, etc. were provided at the party to make recipe cards for the bride and groom.

The favor? Why a dessert item of course. Heart-shaped brownies wrapped in cellophane with the recipe included.

Tuesday Showers

Are lovely!

First up a Wild Child theme from Stem -- images gathered from Hostess with the Mostess.

Look how bright and colorful everything is! adore the lanterns.

I really like how all the favors are slightly different - but work together.

The second shower is from The Scoop.

I just love how design friendly this shower is.

The hostess requested books for the baby's library, complete with bookplates.

Ooooh. This is good. The favor from this shower is containers filled with cinnamon & sugar.

The final party is from Kara's Party Ideas. This is another Dr. Seuss inspired shower...and oh man -- Kara goes all out on this.

Cotton candy served up in Thing 1 and Thing 2 cups

Horton Hears a Who diaper cake (!!!!!!)

Oh goodness. Green Eggs and Ham inspired food. Bless her heart :)

And you know what. I really love how Jones Soda can match up with ANY party theme.

Tuesday Showers bring....

I don't really have a thought to complete that. Because it's shower day - whoo hoo!

The first shower is from Alison Donahue, it is a terrific example of a beach themed wedding shower.

This theme is done well, right down to the favor bags being in theme.

I included this image, in particular, because I love the little flags used on the tartlets.

The second party is from Stem Parties. Oh my. Really. Who would not looooove to have a baby shower based upon a Dr. Seuss book?

Thing 1 and Thing 2 for a baby shower for a mother that was going to have twins. Brilliant!

The colors on this party are so strong which, I believe, makes this party all that much memorable.

The final shower is a virtual baby shower from Just Jenn. Such a wonderful idea.

Jenn's friend was on bed-rest AND had friends all over the country. The solution a virtual shower. Jenn mailed boxes to 10 freinds of the mom-to-be that contained games, a label with the mom-to-be's address and a favor for the "guest".

The "games" were of the very not-lame variety...The games were as follows: "One card was a fill in the blank, 'when I'm pregant I look forward to...". The second was a traditional 'make all the baby names you can out of the parents names' card, and finally a plain old 'advice' card.

You did read above the virtual guests still received favors. The gift boxes included a pink washcloth, a bag of pink and brown maltballs, and Jenn made each girl personalized notecards, in pink in addition to "Fat Little Witch" Brownies.

Tuesday Shower Reccomendations

Two really, really lovely parties here...

The first is from TonKat Studio. Kim designs beautiful birthday pieces.
The theme of this baby shower was Ice Cream and Pickles.

Cute eh?

The tablesetting was just as classy

I cannot get over the cake. It amuses me to no end.

And for the bridal shower...this is gorgeous, goregeous, gorgeous idea from Hostess with the Mostess

This party was a jewelry open house, however, it could be co-opted for just about anything INCLUDING a very classy bridal shower.

OOOOhhhhhh. I love this look for a lounge shower. Candles could also be provided as the bridal shower goodie bag gift.

The signature drink idea is something we have been working into more parties. It makes your event different from others. The last signature drink we created was "Unicorns and Rainbows" (the drink made was a touch potent.)

Tuesday Shower Day

There is some really awesome themes here that I cannot wait to use. Don't forget that Happy Party Monkey is here for any of party planning needs.

The first Baby shower has been shown in several places. The work of Lollipop Eventss and Design simply too beautful not to give it another shout-out. This shower theme could work, I believe for either a baby or bridal shower.

A shower book of messages

Lollipop Events blog covers how they made these marshmellos. I do plan to use this idea sooner than later.

Individual cakes topped with marzipan bees. Soooo awesome.

Here is another absolutely brilliant idea. Provide the gift bags and let the guests fill them. Guests at this shower were able to fill the bags from the candy buffet.

The second shower is from Fete Fanatic. I.adore.the.pink.and.green. The images below are from a baby shower, I do believe this could also be used as a bridal shower theme.

So pretty - and so easy to accomplish!

Please note how the preppy color theme is being with everything!

Coordination with pink lemonaide drink.

Coordinated Ting sodas were the shower gifts. Another option might be to use Jones Soda.

The final shower of the day, and this one really could only be a Baby Shower is really quite amusing. A great theme. I found this party on the Confessions of a SAHM. It is.... a white trash baby shower.

These are mortifying. Mortifyingly awesome that is. These are poo-poo vegan cupcakes.

More food from the shower, as the sign indicates, these are wee-wee in a blanket.

This is the real topper. A dirty diaper cake.
You must visit Confessions of a SAHM and read about all of the party games. Really...this is a great theme idea for a fun shower.

Tuesday Shower Ideas

These are fun! fun! fun!

I have sort gone all circus-y today and I am not sure why. As circus' tend to scare me a touch with their crazy circus folk/shriners.

The first shower idea is for a baby shower and it's a good one! This is from Design Dazzle and it's a most awesome Baby Shower favor

Using popcorn flavor Jelly Bellys in really quite ingenious.

The second shower is also for a baby shower. This comes from Most Likely Late. This is a jungle theme where milk and cookies were the primary food stuffs.

The final shower is a wedding shower theme. This is a shower I would never have considered in a million years. But ut works. Try a Circus theme for a wedding shower. Very fun and very charming.
