Oh this first one is gorgeous. Actually. that should be GORGEOUS.

The next party is from Designing & Motherhood. This Dog Adoption party is both fun AND frugal. Also...this party could be adapted to just about anything cats, dinosaurs, birds, dolls, etc.

This party is excellent in it's use of items ALREADY OWNED. Love it!

This mother purchased plenty of stuffed puppies when they were on sale at Wal-Mart. The party revolved around going to different stations.


The first station is above. The "Adopt a Puppy" station. She created her adoption certificate in MS Publisher.


Stations two and three were bathing and grooming. Look at the use of items the family already had!


Station four, why the vet check-up of course. Yes. I am going to point it out again. USING A HOUSE THEY ALREADY HAD!


I am a sucker for picture opps at parties. Namely because the picture can be used for part of the goodie bag.

The Back to School Doll Party

Alas the invites for the Back to School party and done and on their way to the invitees. Big and little invites, one for the girl and another for the doll that is also invited. The dolls invites are altered to be addressed to them. Ha!

Monday Kid's Parties

All in all it's much easier to locate cute girls themed parties on the Internet than it is boys...However here a great one for little boys


This is a construction party from Gallamore West. Look at the personalized construction hats.


Really how can you go wrong with yellow and black jelly beans and water?


And the goody bags. A.dorable.

And here is a Princess Tea Party from Three Little Blairs. I am always a sucker for princess tea parties.


Make up tables were set up to glimmer up!


I included this one for the chairs that are behind the girls. Fancy!


And look at how vivid the cupcakes are here. Gorgeous!

One more party. This one is from Saucy's Sprinkles and it's a party for that oft forgotten tween group.


This party had a cover girl theme.

The girls at the party all took headshots and received contact sheets.



The table was set up with mirrors and decorated with a bow. Individual sponges and shadow applicators were put out along with individual mascara, eyeliner pencil, blush and lip gloss for hygienic reasons. Everybody took home their own makeup.


Ahhh. How I love a good goodie bag. The bags were from Bath and Body Works. The socks are from Target and so are the candy-striped sticky notes, gel pens and striped tissue papers. Each bag also contained either a Twizzler, Bubble Yum or Sweet Tart and lip gloss!

Willie Wonka theme party

A birthday party for a tiny Veruca Salt.
Don't care how, I want it now.

Who: Girl turning four
What: Birthday party for 18 guests (around the same age)
Where: At home

Highlights:
The invites were created using a large Wonka bar
with gold foil adhered to the back. The invite information was printed on clear sticker paper and placed on top of the gold foil. This invite was written with the exclamation that the person who had received this had won the opportunity to visit Willie Wonka's factory.


Upon arrival pictures of the guests were taken with a Polaroid camera as an Ooompa Loompa


The arrival activity, as the bulk of the guests were three, four and five years old, was to color a picture of oompa loompas


The first activity was to create candy. We used gummy worms to make a gummy ball
. We also created "Everlasting Gobstoppers" by melting jolly ranchers in a bowl.

The next activity (which unfortunately there are no pictures of) we filled a very large bucket with water and coco mix and placed inexpensive boats with numbers written on the bottom. Each number allowed the children to pick from one of three bins for prizes.

The final interctive activity was a golden egg race. Each child was provided with a plastic Easter egg that was spray painted gold and a spoon. The children were directed to walk a certain length without dropping the egg (if they did they needed to start over). This competition was taken very seriously by all involved.


The cake that was provided had Veruca Salt on it and "Happy Birthday to a good egg"


The gift bags included assorted Wonka candies and a toothbrush donated by a local children's dentist.

Harry Potter Theme Party

WHO: Girl turning five who adores Hermoine and had recently won a Hermoine look-alike contest.
WHAT: Birthday party for girl turning five. 20 invitees.
WHERE: At parent's home

Highlights:
The invites that were sent out for this party were sent out on parchment paper with Hogwarts letterhead and sealed with a wax P (the birthday girls initial).

When guests arrived they were greeted by the entryway to Hogwarts (really the garage)


Once inside Hogwarts, the children each received a robe (made from black plastic table cloth) and were directed to the craft table to decorate their wizard hat.


The children were divided into the four houses of Hogwarts by using a baby monitor hidden underneath a sorting hat purchased at Halloween. The father of the birthday girl was able to name off each of the children while being out of sight of the children.

Once the houses were divided, the children learned all about potions and were able to create their own by mixing different colors of Kool-Aid together into plastic bottles.


The next two activities allowed the kids to run around. There was a locate the snitch contest. This contest was followed by a house versus house broom relay race.


Finnaly, the cake was presented, the cake was based on cake that Hagrid provides Harry in the first Harry Potter book. Note that Harry is crossed out.
